First Affiliate Sale from Squidoo

It’s funny that my very last blog post was about my first affiliate sale from HubPages because tonight when I checked my Clickbank stats, I saw my first sale from a Squidoo lens I made. I can see why experienced affiliate marketers outsource a lot of their work. Imagine having tons of Squidoo and HubPages developed - all out there earning passive income. Of course you don’t need to outsource to have success. You just need to be able to write and write fast.
The sale generated from an article I wrote and posted to EzineArticles.com. It isn’t a product I could really promote on any of my blogs - unlike the sale I made with HubPages. That is where places like Squidoo and HubPages come in handy. Squidoo seems a little more tolerant of “spammy” type pages so if you are going to test the waters, I say start there.
Building a lens is the same as writing a blog post. Make it informative and helpful while plugging the product. I chose article marketing to drive traffic to my lens. I used tips that I’ve learned along the way:
- Use a catchy title with keywords to attract readers
- Make the article helpful
- Add a feeling of hope for what can come if they click to your landing page
Besides that, it’s about repeating the process and getting those articles out to as many places as possible. I have been really busy so I’m trying my best to keep up with the writing. It’s reassuring to see a sale has been made. It’s just a matter of increasing it!
