Passion First and the Money Comes Naturally

I came across a strength training blog called Strong Lifts and besides being an awesome blog about strength training, what caught my eye was the fact that maintaining it, is the author’s (Mehdi) full time job. If you read the story behind how it came to be, you’ll notice that Mehdi followed his passion.
Just like many of us, he started out in the rat race and realized it wasn’t for him. One thing led to another but what it boils down to is that he decided to do what he loved and that is sharing his love of strength training with the world.
Now that is motivating! According to his post, his success came 3 months after starting his blog. His success isn’t unique since there are a lot of folks out there earning full-time income from their blogs. However, you can still learn from Mehdi’s story. Keep in mind that it took a lot of hard work and courage on his part. It wasn’t an easy decision to leave his job and he posts unique content that people love to read.

That’s an amazing success story about Mehdi. It’s great to know that someone can make such a tremendous change in their life so quickly.
The passion first mindset is a very powerful motivator in life. It holds so true with success online. You can be successful in anything you do when you have passion, determination and take action.

I’d like to clarify something. I’m not having success yet with the blog. There is little monetary return at this moment, too little to speak of a full time income. My goal is to get a full time income from the blog within the next year, but I’m not there yet.
The success I have is confirmation that the idea I had in my mind works in practice. People confirm that what I do is providing them a service. I like what I do. I don’t perceive it as working. I enjoy it. I like people sending me their story & reading that what I advise them to do works when applied.
My favorite Napoleon Hill quotes:”If they can do it, you can do it” & “Persistence is key to success”.

Thanks for the clarification. I’m positive you will reach your goal of full-time income. My goal is to also have full-time income from my sites. When I put it into my mind to be self-employed, things began to fall into place. If you believe it, it will happen!

This is a very motivational post and a good read. It is not always easy to believe the whole “Do what you love and the money will follow” thing. However, it is good to know that this can work for many people if not all.
