Reaching Out to Your Readers for Help
By selfemployedblog | September 30, 2007

If you run a blog as a way to earn income, I’m sure you are always searching for ways to market it. Some common methods include directory submissions, article marketing, social bookmarking, etc. Sometimes I think we overlook what is right in front of us and that is to reach out to our readers and ask for help.
This of course works best if you have some decent traffic and really helps if you have a loyal group of readers. Let’s say you have written a great blog post and really want to get it in front of as many eyes as possible, you can contact your readers and request that they promote your article by stumbling it, digging it, or social bookmarking it. Nine times out of ten I bet they are willing to help out. How do I know? Because I received such an email from a blog that I visit regularly and comment on.
After reading it, I was happy to help promote the article because I like the information I get from the site. Try not to underestimate your readers. Most are willing to help if you ask for it. Spreading some good blog karma never hurts. ![]()

Great idea! I keep hearing about social bookmarking, etc but hadn’t though about asking my readers to do it for me. I’m definitely going to get on this ASAP.
