When Should I Quit My Job? - The Big Question

By selfemployedblog | April 4, 2007

Deciding when to quit your day job is the big question you will ask yourself when you are on the verge of becoming self-employed. I want to share a great post from Success from the Nest which I could totally relate to because I experienced every point in the list of “gut check indicators”.

Like so many other things associated with finding your passion, living your dream, and working from home — it comes down to a gut thing. It’s a pure sense of knowing. No formula or expert advice is going to outweigh that sense of knowing.

When I made my decision to leave my job it was purely from my gut. No matter who I talked to, or what advice I was given, none of it really mattered because it was about how I was feeling. I wanted to be happy and I knew deep down inside what the cause of my unhappiness was.

Check out the post below and see if you can answer the question for yourself.

Thanks for mentioning my post, Eartha.

BTW - “The Joy of Not Working” is one of my favorite books :).

No problem! It is one of my fave books too! I wrote the author and he added my letter in his book “Real Success Without a Real Job.” He’s a really cool guy.
